Johnny Standley
Johnny Standley (December 6, 1912 - May 27, 1992) was an American musician, actor, and comedian from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States, who later lived in Oklahoma City. Standley wrote (with Art Thorsen) and recorded "It's In The Book", a number one single on the Billboard Charts in 1952. The comedy recording sold over two million copies and received a gold record. During World War II, Standley served in the US Army and entertained the troops with Red Skelton and Dave Brubeck for the USO.
